Loss of dental structures may negatively affect oral function, speech, facial appearance, and psychosocial well-being. Orthopedic dental treatment aims to restore these lost functions and improve quality of life. Fixed prosthetic restorations have become widely used because of their stability, durability, and natural appearance. Modern ceramic materials and digital manufacturing technologies provide improved precision and esthetic results. However, successful treatment outcomes require comprehensive evaluation of functional and biological factors. Therefore, assessment of prosthetic rehabilitation effectiveness remains an important aspect of clinical dentistry.
The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of fixed prosthetic restorations in improving oral function and esthetic outcomes among patients requiring orthopedic dental rehabilitation.
The study included 85 patients aged 20–70 years requiring fixed prosthetic treatment. Clinical examination was performed before treatment and during follow-up periods after prosthetic rehabilitation. Functional parameters including chewing efficiency, occlusal stability, speech function, and esthetic outcomes were assessed. Patient satisfaction and adaptation to prosthetic treatment were also evaluated using standardized questionnaires. Statistical analysis was performed to compare outcomes before and after treatment.
The study demonstrated significant improvement in chewing function and speech after prosthetic rehabilitation. Esthetic appearance and facial harmony improved considerably following treatment. Most patients reported increased comfort and higher satisfaction with fixed prosthetic restorations. Clinical evaluation revealed favorable prosthetic stability and minimal complications during follow-up assessment. Improved oral function was associated with enhanced psychosocial well-being and quality of life.
Fixed prosthetic restorations represent an effective treatment option in orthopedic dentistry for restoring oral function and esthetic appearance. Comprehensive treatment planning and appropriate selection of restorative materials contribute significantly to successful outcomes. Prosthetic rehabilitation improves both functional and psychological aspects of patient well-being.
